Microsoft Exchange server: Exch2k3 and mass emails

205| Fri, 23 May 2008 22:17:00 GMT| anonymous| Comments (4)
Hello,

I have been told, that my "problem" is caused by design in the
exchangeserver - but I hope to find a solution in/via this NG.

Two of my users have to recieve the same notification mails from an external
domain. I have been told, that these mails are send as mass email (the same
messadeID). And because of the same messageID one of the maisl are deleted
and only one delivered in my (exchange) organisation.

How can i handle this regarding config. in exchange accepting mass email
from this (and only this) maildomain (maildistrubutor) so that both of my
users recieve one mail each ?

Cheers,

Torben Broendum

They're sent to different addresses and Exchange will process them
properly to the two intended recipients, if they're sent properly.

Yes, the are sent to two diff. adresses in our org. I will expand the case a
little telling this: I am using GFI ME for exchange and in the inbound
logfile i can see, that I recieve both mails (I am using the ME PoP2exchange)
but onlye the one user is recieving a mail. What does that tell you - is it a
ME og exch. problem? Will message tracking i exchange be usefull in this case
and is it possible to track mails all the way through ME to exchange ? Please
be back to me ;-)

It is not likely to be Exchange.

You can get an eval. It is better than what you're using and, I know,
doesn't have the problem you're seeing.

So ypu are up to, that ME pop2exchange can cause the problem - in your
answer are you aware, that pop2exchange is the integrated part of ME?

And POPcon can work together with ME regarding the SPAM handling ?
